STAFF, COMMUNITY AND STUDENT INVOLVEMENT IN

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT

 

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District intends to offer an educational program which meets the needs of its students, and recognizes the need to constantly review, revise and develop its curriculum. The Board of Education believes that this process of curriculum development and improvement is best accomplished by involving a broad spectrum of staff, community, parents and students. The board encourages management to involve staff, community, parents and students together to provide direction to the district-wide process of instruction and curriculum decision-making. This involvement in consultation would provide for continuous and ongoing improvement in the areas of:

  1. Educational goals and objectives
  2. Content of courses and curriculum
  3. Selection of textbooks and materials
