ADVISORY COMMITTEES TO THE STAFF

The superintendent may establish advisory committees to advise the superintendent and staff. The superintendent shall inform the board when such committees are established and shall describe their charges, size, term of office, and membership. The superintendent shall inform the board of the persons appointed to such committees and any changes in committee membership or charge.

It is not the intention of the Board of Education that these committees become policy-making bodies or that they manage or direct the schools or staff. The superintendent shall have supervisory control over all aspects of the use of citizens' advisory committees and individual citizens by the staff when such use is initiated by the staff, and shall provide the board with appropriate reports.
