HEALTH INSURANCE

 

Each employee is encouraged to participate in the district's fringe benefit program. The fringe benefits available to each employee shall be determined annually by the Board of Education.

If an employee enrolled in the district major-medical health plan elects to retire after reaching his or her fifty-fifth (55th) birthday and has served continuously for ten (10) years in the district, the district will pay the health insurance premium (for the employee only) and the dental insurance premium (for the employee and employee's dependents) until age sixty-five (65) or until such time as the employee is eligible to participate in the Medicare or other government-funded health insurance program, whichever is first.
