STAFF REPORTS TO BOARD

The superintendent, as the chief administrator of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, has the responsibility to assign tasks to subordinate staff members to insure the fulfillment of the board's goals and objectives in accordance with predetermined priorities.

It is recognized that the board or individual board members may desire information or reports. Such request should be made to the superintendent and fulfilled through the district staff. However, the superintendent as chief administrator shall refer any request which may be deemed sufficiently complex and/or time-consuming to interfere with the attainment of predetermined goals, objectives, and priorities to the board for action.

Each board member, in the performance of his or her duties, is encouraged to initiate appropriate actions and stimulate new considerations. Each is also urged to use discretion to insure that individual requests do not infringe upon the rights and privileges of one's colleagues or impede the program which the board, as a whole, has instituted.
