2.      Recognizing that experts in numerous academic, professional, and vocational fields are available within the community, teachers and administrators are urged to utilize qualified, responsible resource persons in enriching instruction.

3.      Additionally, the guest speaker must agree to abide by the rules outlined on the "Request for Guest Speaker Form" by signing the form before principal approval.

4.      Teachers and site administrators are responsible for the conduct and presentation content of guest speakers. Care and judgment must be exercised, particularly when sensitive and/or controversial issues may be involved. All presentations must be within the limits of the approved curriculum and courses of study. Legal and policy constraints on prohibited instruction or instruction requiring prior notification of parents apply to guest speakers. A "Request for Use of Guest Speaker" form must be completed and approved by the site administrator at least five (5) school days prior to a guest speaker presentation.

5.      Advisory or support groups composed of citizens drawn from the community may be established from time to time as directed by the Board of Education or as approved by the superintendent or his designee.
