GIFTS TO SCHOOL PERSONNEL

Students and their parents should be discouraged from the routine giving of gifts to district employees on occasions such as graduation and holidays. The Board of Education encourages the writing of appropriate letters to staff members by students and parents when they wish to express their gratitude and appreciation. These provisions shall not be interpreted as intended to discourage acts of generosity in unusual situations.
