REPRESENTATIVE AND DELIBERATIVE GROUPS

A. Purpose and Scope

To establish a process relating to the participation of students, staff and community in matters which are considered consultative in nature

B. General

1. The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District encourages the students, staff and community to be involved in items considered as consultation matters.

2. The superintendent and members of the management team are responsible to assure that this procedure is followed.

3. Questions or suggestions regarding this procedure should be addressed to the responsible manager.

D. Procedure

1. The principal of each school will designate a general communication body to act as a vehicle to foster good communications between staff and management and to serve in a consultative role when developing and revising curriculum, policies and regulations.

2. The process or procedure that will be used as the vehicle to foster good communications shall be submitted to the superintendent at the beginning of each school year.

3. The superintendent and/or designee will meet with other representatives and deliberative groups as needed.
