ROTATION OF BUILDING ADMINISTRATORS
The Board of
the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District believes that the rotation of site
administrators provides a means for expanded administrative experiences for
each individual affected. As each person brings unique skills and personality
to a position, this rotation provides the school district the opportunity to
maintain and enhance enriched and balanced district programs. It is, therefore,
in the best interest of the district, all site staff members, students,
programs, and school communities to review annually site administrator rotation
and assignments. Conversely, it is not in the best interest of the district to
rotate site administrators capriciously or in an untimely manner.
As a general
guideline, all site administrators shall be transfered
to another site after five (5) years of complete service at one site and before
the beginning of an eighth year.
When educational reasons warrant, the superintendent has the prerogative
to rotate site administrators prior to or later than the designated time frame.
The
superintendent shall provide to the board annually for review a list of
considered rotations and assignments of site administrators.
