D.
Procedure
1.
No
person shall occupy a position which would result in a supervisor-subordinate
relationship between relatives.
2.
With
the exception of spouses, Relatives shall not be employed at the same work
site. The policy permits the employment of Relatives at the same work site if
they were assigned to the site prior to the enactment of the policy in 1981.
3.
Spouses
shall not be employed at the same work site if such employment will not pose
difficulties for supervision, security, safety, morale, or conflicts of
interest greater for the married couple than for other persons. Determinations
made pursuant to this rule shall be made on a case by case basis by the
Superintendent.
4.
If
two employees assigned to the same site or in a supervisor-subordinate
relationship marry, and the relationship is determined to pose difficulties for
supervision, security, safety, morale, or conflicts of interest, as determined
by the Superintendent, only one of the employees will be permitted to continue
employment in their existing position. The District shall make reasonable
efforts to assign job duties so as to minimize problems of supervision, safety,
security, or morale. If continuing employment of two spouses cannot be
accommodated consistent with the district's interest in the promotion of safety,
security, morale, adequate supervision, and avoidance of conflicts, as
determined by the Superintendent, one spouse shall request a transfer.

LINDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION 1The degree of kindred
is established by the number of generations, with each generation called a
degree. Degree is established by counting the generation from one relative up
to the common ancestor and from the common ancestor to the other relative. The
common ancestor is only counted once. For example, brothers are related to the
second degree, uncle is related to a niece or nephew to the third degree, and
cousins are related to the fourth degree.
