WORKING DAY

 

A.      Purpose and Scope

The superintendent has the responsibility, upon approval of the board, of establishing time schedules which enable the schools to operate most efficiently.

B.     General

Because of the nature of the duties and responsibilities of administrators and supervisory personnel, their hours of work shall vary and extend as necessary to fulfill requirements of the position.

D.     Procedure

Minimum time schedules shall be as follows:

1.      Teachers shall be at their assigned work locations at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the instructional day.

2.      Teachers shall remain on duty for a sufficient amount of time at the end of each instructional day for class preparation, planning, assessment, evaluation, conferences with parents and students, faculty meetings and inservice.
