EXTRA DUTY ASSIGNMENTS
A.
Purpose and Scope
Extra responsibilities
that make major demands on teacher's time shall be rewarded with extra
compensation. Activities and services which make minor demands shall be part of
the teacher's regular teaching responsibilities.
B.
General
Administrators
will strive to equalize major and minor duties among teachers. Compensation
will be in accordance with the Master Certificated Employment Agreement.

Procedure
1.
All
positions that involve extra pay for extra work shall be advertised.
2.
A
teacher shall hold only one position, except under special conditions, for
which extra pay for extra work is received.
3.
A
teacher who already holds a position for which he or she receives extra pay for
extra work shall not be considered for another position for which extra pay for
extra work is paid unless he or she resigns from the position held.
4.
Administrators
and supervisory personnel are not eligible for extra compensation.
5.
Exceptions
pertaining to extra pay for extra work shall be made only after the
superintendent's approval.
6.
The
board shall approve, on the recommendation of the superintendent, the
employment of teachers to receive extra pay for extra work.
