RETENTION OF CONSULTANTS
The governing
board recognizes the occasional need for the use of consultants. The board
encourages the use of consultants when it is clear they can provide valuable
and necessary specialized services not normally required on a continuing basis
and which cannot be provided by district personnel because of limitations of
time, experience, or knowledge.
The governing
board shall not enter into any contract for personal consulting services,
except legal services or services for the fiscal audit of the district finances,
until and unless the following steps have been completed:
