STUDENT WELLNESS
The
Nutrition
Education and Physical Activity Goals
The District shall provide nutrition education, physical activity, and
other school-based activities that are designed to promote student
wellness. The District’s nutrition
education and physical education shall be based on the state’s curriculum
frameworks and shall be provided as a part of the health and physical education
programs.
Nutrition
Guidelines for Foods Available at School
Foods and beverages sold or served at school will meet the nutrition
recommendations of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans and current

Implementation and Evaluation
The Superintendent or his designee shall ensure the implementation of the
district’s wellness policy.
The Superintendent or designee shall provide periodic reports to the
board of this policy and any other policies related to nutrition and physical
activity.
