BICYCLES ON CAMPUS
A.
Purpose
and Scope
To establish
procedures for implementation of Board Policy 5131.9 which
allows for the establishment of rules for control of bicycles which are ridden
to school
B.
General
It is recommended
by the law enforcement agencies, Automobile Club of Southern California and
district administration that students from grades four through twelve only be
allowed to ride bicycles.
Students who
violate this policy/regulation will be subject to appropriate disciplinary
action which could include confiscation of the bicycle requiring parent to come
and pick up.

Procedure
Parent
notification of District Bicycle Policy and Administrative Regulation.
If
the bicycle is ridden to school by students in grades K-3 the principal will
take such notification of said infraction/ disciplinary action as he/she may determine
necessary and shall report the incident to the parent or guardian.
