SCHOLARSHIP
FUND
The Board of Education hereby establishes the
Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Scholarship Fund to make
available to worthy pupils attending schools under the jurisdiction of the
Board of Education funds for their continuing education. The fund shall be
administered by a committee composed of the governing board of the district,
the superintendent, and such other members as the board may determine.
Donations or bequests designated for a specific scholarship shall be deposited
and disbursed from individual accounts.
A nominating committee appointed by the superintendent shall
make recommendations to the scholarship committee for the award of individual
scholarships. Membership of the nominating committee and criteria for the
recommendation of nominees shall follow any guidelines accepted by the Board of
Education as a condition for donation.
