SPECIALIZED
HEALTH CARE SERVICES
The Governing Board recognizes that some students in the
district may require specialized health care services during the school day in
order to attend school.
Pursuant to the requirements of the Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation
Act of 1973 and California Education Code, trained and qualified personnel
shall perform specialized health care services under the supervision of a
school nurse, public health nurse or licensed physician. The provision of specialized health care
services shall be in accordance with the student’s individualized education
program or written accommodation plan.
