EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

 

It is the policy of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District that all employees are responsible for promoting and providing for the safety of all students at all times while under the jurisdiction of the school district. To this end, district employees shall be declared "disaster service workers" whenever the Governor declares a "state of emergency."

The superintendent or designee shall develop and maintain an emergency preparedness plan which details provisions for handling all foreseeable emergencies. This plan shall be reviewed and updated annually.

Principals shall augment the district plan with working plans and procedures specific to their building. All students and employees shall receive instruction regarding these plans.
