SCHOOL/CLASSROOM VISITATIONS
The Board of
Education recognizes the desirability of parents and other citizens visiting public
school facilities and observing programs in action. The Board of Education is
legally responsible for decisions regarding programs, materials, and employee
evaluations. The Board of Education also recognizes its responsibility for the
safety of children and staff, for the security of the property, and for the
maintenance of an environment conducive to the learning process. The Board of
Education holds principals responsible for the administration and supervision
of the individual schools and for encouraging parent involvement in all phases
of the educational process. This policy and appropriate administrative
regulations are established for the guidance and direction of principals and
other management personnel in maintaining an appropriate balance among these
important needs.
